Producing /dʒ/
How to produce /dʒ/
Start like /d/ — tongue blade against the ridge behind your top teeth — then release straight into the buzz of /ʒ/, voice on the whole time. It is the voiced partner of /tʃ/ (chip). Common L2 errors: /j/ (jet → yet), /ʒ/ without the stop, and /tʃ/ at the end of words (ridge → rich, badge → batch).
